"The Lord has been mindful of us;" Psalms 115:12
This is for anyone in doubt. Anyone who has felt or is feeling forgotten. This is for anyone feeling invisible. This is for anyone feeling lost in the crowd. This is for anyone feeling dejected and alone. This is for anyone feeling unheard and unseen.
The Lord is mindful of you.
Please go back and read that line again. Don't be in a hurry to take it down. Savour it. Fully taste it.
God is indeed mindful of me. Repeat it to yourself however many times you wish. Let it truly sink in.
God is attentive to me.
I am constantly in his mind.
He is fully aware of me.
He is so aware, so attentive, so conscious of me that even the hairs on my head are all numbered (Matthew 10:30). He knows how many hairs I have on my head. Wow! The man means business, doesn't He?! I don't even know how many hairs are on my head. Even I, Veracious, I am not as mindful of myself as He is! Wow. Makes me wonder, why do I think I know myself more than He knows me? Why do I feel I know better? Why do I feel I can do a better job with my life than He is doing? Why do I fail to trust Him? Why do I ever doubt Him? Why do I believe the lies of the devil that He doesn't see me, He doesn't hear me, He doesn't care?
Why do you?
Why do we?
When Hagar met with the angel of the Lord, she couldn't believe it. Her confession in Genesis 16:13 is one of my favourite verses of the Bible. In that verse, I see her coming to the realization that God is mindful of her. She said, "Have I also here seen Him who sees me?". How comforting that must have felt. When she felt most vulnerable, most unloved, most alone, she realizes someone even greater sees her! Really sees her. Her present and her future.
This same God sees you too. He sees me too.
Some days his presence feels so tangible, I could almost touch it and wrap it around me like a warm blanket. Other days I don't feel it. I'm sure you've had your own days like this. But you know what, even in those days, He still sees us. He is still mindful of us. That is where faith comes in. A faith that says, I may not see it, I may not feel it, BUT I know you see me because you are the God who sees! You are mindful of me!
His word is a lamp unto my feet (Psalms 119:105). So as you take a step into the unknown, He is mindful of you!
Regardless of what your story is, God has perfect knowledge of you (Psalms 139: 1-18). Of your innermost parts. Of your thoughts. Your actions. Your emotions. That is how much he cares. That is how much of a part of us He is.
So when the lies come, when the doubts start to creep in and when like Hagar you feel abandoned, completely alone and lost, know and believe that even there, the God who sees, sees you!
As you wake up every morning, wake up with a smile, and say to yourself, God is mindful of me.
Remind someone today that God is mindful of them.

He is indeed. Even though the enemy doesn't want us to believe it.
